TGIF!

I’m glad it’s Friday.  I had a stressful week at work.  Good stress though, I definitely find my new job challenging.

Not too much on the knitting front.  I’m still working on socks on my bus rides.  I blocked out the windows sweater so now I just need to seam in the sleeves and knit the neck line, but it’s too hot to work with that heavy wool and no a/c.    Funny how I always seem to pick up wool projects during the summer.  Last year it was my ribby cardi.

I Found this link when I was surfing around… pretty harsh anti-drug ads, but they really get their point across.

How many round trips…

… does it take to complete a pair of socks?

One

Two+Three

Four

Five+Six

Seven+Eight Nine+Ten

- oops I missed a picture, but I did complete the second sock by the end of the second week!

This what I can get done during my commute to work.  I really love not having to drive into downtown everyday!

Memorial Day Weekend

Last weekend I decided last minute to tag along with Audrey, Karen, and Jenny to the Mass - SheepNWool festival.   I did very well and didn’t buy anymore yarn.     I did fall prey to this travel mug from SpunkyEclectic that was calling my name :)

After the festival we stopped at Webs.  The back store room is so overwhelming!  Here again I did very well with blocking out all the yarn screaming to be taken home and rescued only a much needed swift.
