At my appointment on Saturday the doctor said I was 1cm dilated so the baby will most likely be here this week. She also said it's not naturally here by Saturday we'll have to make plans to induce by the 14th at the latest.
So, while I'm sitting here getting more and more anxious every day, I've decided to run a little contest here on the new section of the blog. Leave a comment with your guess and I'll send out a special prize for the closest guess in order of the baby's sex, weight, and hour:minute of the birth.
Here's a picture of the baby's room. (Neko really likes to hang out in here)
There is a rocker that will be moved up from the living room to go in the corner, and I have some plain dark curtains to replace the thin flower ones. Now that I look at this picture, some of the animal wall-hangings need to be shifted around too. I doubt we'll spend much time in here during the first few weeks. The pack-n-play has a bassinet part that will be a better size for a newborn.

DH and I are pretty much as ready as we are going to be. We've got the car seat and the pack-n-play all put together . Laundry for the baby's first week is all done, and our bags are packed. Last weekend I cooked a lot of chicken and meatballs to have on hand once we come home from the hospital.

Knitting has been limited to yet another pair of Feather-N-Fan socks and simple rib socks for DH. I'm saving the Windows steeks for when my mom is here next week. The extra set of eyes and a non-clouded/sleep deprived brain will be a big help in preventing total disaster.

That's pretty dang close to my info, so I had to go with that.
Wishing you a happy healthy birth day and baby!

When he is born, in between baby naps you can knit those kind of socks for the Summer:

Good luck, I am thinking of you

I'll give my guess later...how did it work out with the Windows and the yarn shortage issue?
The room looks great! My Sister-in-law's cat would sleep in the bassinet UNTIL that noisy hairless cat (the baby) touched it. Then it was quite distasteful.
Let me know if I can help.
